Gili Jewels is a fourth-generation, family-owned pearl house with roots stretching back nearly a century. What began as a trade in turquoise and precious gemstones found its true calling in pearls — and pearls have been the heart of everything we do ever since.
The Pearl Journey
Our relationship with pearls began in the early 1980s, when a trusted colleague invited us to represent his collection. Demand was immediate and undeniable. When he stepped away from importing, we didn't hesitate — we traveled directly to Japan to source cultured pearls ourselves, selecting only those with exceptional luster and depth. Within a short time, pearls weren't just part of our business. They were our business.
Today, our buyers maintain long-standing relationships with the world's premier pearl-producing regions: Japan, China, Tahiti, Australia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Every pearl is acquired at origin and brought to our offices, where each stone and strand is meticulously sorted, cleaned, matched, and strung to our exacting standards.
